It is said that a church is the only co-operative organization
which exists for the benefit of its non-members. Here at Vallejo
Drive, we strive toward that end. We want to be known as people
who reach out to those around us, who are not indifferent to the
physical and spiritual needs of others.
Toward that goal...
Our youth participate in a weekly homeless feeding program in
North Hollywood.
In cooperation with the Community Center Thrift Store at Glendale
Adventist Medical Center, the Vallejo Drive Church runs an
assistance program for the needy. Those who need assistance can
go to the church office and receive vouchers for food or clothing
items redeemable at the Thrift Store. In case of an emergency,
vouchers for one-night's stay at a local motel are also available.
On a monthly basis, a group of members visit
patients at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center and provide
singing, comfort and spiritual encouragement.
Every Christmas our Church participates in a program called Angel
Tree, which is designed for children of inmates who would not
otherwise receive any presents nor have a Christmas celebration.
Every summer the Vallejo Drive Church opens its doors to many
children of the surrounding communities who come for a weeklong
Vacation Bible School program to learn, grow and have fun together.
In the summer of 2001, a group of youth from the Vallejo Drive
Family went to Baja, Mexico, to conduct a weeklong children's
program to the children of migrant farm workers. The blessings
were obviously mutual and other similar trips will certainly follow.

Currently, one of our church members, Todd Trumper, is
serving as a volunteer missionary, teaching English in Korea. A
student snapped a picture of Todd and some enthusiastic learners who
were celebrating their language accomplishment at the end
of a school term in December 2005.
If you would like to be involved in any of these programs, please
